Sodium Fluoride

Sodium Fluoride

Sodium fluoride is a molecule which is made up of sodium (Na) and fluoride (F) with a ration of 1:1. The blog presented will be describing and explaining the composition, structure and characteristics of this molecule. It's most common use, as afore mentioned is in toothpaste, where it strengthens the teeth, and makes them more resistant to decay caused by acidic substances and bacteria. Sodium toxic is highly toxic and can be lethal to humans if ingested in large quantities. This makes it effective for rat poisons and insecticides. It also is used as a cleaning agent.

Palm tree

Palm tree

This is a simple design and visualisation of a palm tree.  The palm leaves are borrowed from a previous blog. The new part is the tree trunk, which is an EXTRUSION object. Before the inclusion of EXTRUSION in VRMath2 Editor, tree stems or branches may be just cylinders. Using EXTRUSION, more irregular tree trunks can be achieved.

Outsite my office window, there are many palm trees. I thought about making one so it may be reused later to make a full tree.

It was Wednesday, 17th of July. I met with a visiting scholar Xie Zuo Ru from China.  Xie is an awarding-winning high school teacher in the area of technology education. His research interests focused on the use of interactive media to promote science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education.  The interactive media refers to the small computers such as Arduino and Raspberry Pi that are affordable, programmable, and capable of transforming virtually any objects into input and output devices.  A wide range of interactive media applications such as turning a drawing of keyboard into a real keyboard or remote control of household appliances makes the teaching and learning fun and creative. He is also an expert in robotics and programming.
