Pokestop

Pokestop

The Pokemon Go App has caused quite a global disturbance since its recent release (date?). Facebook access rate was descresed and more people access Pokemon Go daily than Twitter.  People are busy catching Pokemonsters on the roads, at schools and homes, and in the parks. This short video taken at NYC Central Park shows how popular it is. A search on Twitter for Pokemon go can get a quick understanding of this global phenomenon. Are you playing?

As part of a project to make a nice gear mesh with logo, I wondered how to generate the involute of a circle.

Analog clock

The TIMESENSOR of X3D is quite a complicated time mechanism to understand. As I have created some commands for easy animation, I thought that it would be interesting to test the TIMESENSOR with an analog clock.

Music Box

music box

The music box was created a while ago to test the behaviour framework. I have been busy teaching and marking these days. Thought I should write a blog then resume marking......

Light with switch

Light with switch

After much thinking and planning, I have finally implemented an initial behaviour framework. Behaviour is different to animation. But it may also have effect of animation. In this blog, I have programmed a desk lamp -- a spotlight with a switch. You can click on the switch to switch on and off the light. When you do, you can also hear a switch sound, so have your speakers turned on to enjoy the virtual simulation of light, shadow and sound.
